Allison's Hands Out Trees
For Earth Day
Allison's
celebrated Earth Day 2008 by giving the first 50 customers a free
dogwood tree, which is the official Virginia state tree.
Plenty
of customers took advantage of the offer, and the tree were quickly
gone. Above, customers Latanya Jones and her daughter Lakyra and
Anne Lawrence of White Stone, prepare to go home with a free tree.
Allison's also had a display of "earth-friendly" products
for customers to consider.
"It's
wonderful that we have a hardware store that cares about the environment,"
said one longtime Allison's customer.
